Booking and payment
Via Tikkie. After that your booking is confirmed. The €5 is deducted from your treatment.

After the €5 deposit your appointment is confirmed. Sian comes to your home with everything needed, anywhere in The Hague: from Scheveningen to Ypenburg and from Loosduinen to Laak.

You get tips to keep your locs looking their best. Retightening is usually needed every 4 to 6 weeks.

Hi, I'm Sian. My own locs journey began in 2021, and ever since I have had a passion for curly hair. To me, locs are more than a hairstyle: they grow with you and deserve care that suits your hair and your scalp.
I was trained by Stasha Bouwmeester-Vassell, known as Big Sister, who runs her own salon in Gouda. I earned my latest certificate in October 2026. Now I get to do for others what I love doing myself.
With me, you can expect calm and attention. I come to your home, take my time and work carefully, with care for your scalp. Does something feel too tight? Just say so and we adjust. You also get honest advice about what your locs need, including between appointments.

Locs and treatments
Which locs do you care for?
Dreadlocks, microlocks and Sis & Brotherlocs. Not sure what you have or what suits you? Send a photo for the free photo check.
What are the different types of locs?
Dreadlocks are the classic locs, usually a bit thicker. They are maintained with crochet and interlock. Microlocks are much smaller and finer, which gives you more styling options. Sis & Brotherlocs are the finest locs of all: they are installed and maintained with a special tool in a fixed pattern.

Can you also install new locs?
Yes, on request Sian installs new locs or microlocks. Your hair needs to be at least 10 cm long. Send a message via WhatsApp with a few photos and you will get a custom price.
Can you bleach my locs?
Yes, Sian can bleach the tips of your hair, for €45. Want your whole locs bleached? Then the price depends on your hair and what you want; send photos via WhatsApp for a custom price.
Do you also do braids or other hairstyles?
No. Sian focuses fully on locs and does not do braids or similar hairstyles.
Do you also work with straight or wavy hair?
Yes, everyone is welcome, whatever your hair type. Locs in straight, wavy or fine hair sometimes need a different approach. That is why we start with a photo check, so you know up front what is possible.
Do you also work with children?
Yes, children are very welcome. A parent or guardian is present during the appointment. Not sure what your child needs? Start with a free photo check.
Your appointment
How do I book?
Send a message via WhatsApp with a few photos of your locs. After the free photo check, we plan your appointment, with a video intake first if you like. Your appointment is confirmed once you pay a €5 deposit via Tikkie.
How do I prepare?
Make sure your hair is washed, clean and dry, without any products. If you book wash & care, there is no need. A spot with good light and a chair with a backrest is nice. Sian brings all materials and products.
How long does an appointment take?
That depends on the number of locs and how much growth there is. Expect 2 to 4 hours. After the photo check you will hear what to expect.
How often do I need retightening?
Usually every 4 to 6 weeks, depending on how fast your hair grows. With excessive regrowth, €15 is added.
Does it hurt?
It should not hurt. Sian works calmly and with care for your scalp, and you can always say if something feels too tight.
Are you tenderheaded, with a sensitive scalp? Take 1000 mg of paracetamol 1 hour before your treatment. That is the adult dose; for children, or if you are unsure, follow the leaflet or ask your pharmacist. Do you have an allergy or a skin condition? Let Sian know beforehand, so the treatment can be adjusted.
Do you also come outside The Hague?
No, Sian only works in The Hague, but in every neighbourhood: from Scheveningen to Ypenburg. There are no travel costs.
Prices and payment
How can I pay?
In cash, at the appointment. Only the €5 booking deposit is paid via Tikkie, and it is deducted from your treatment.
Can I reschedule or cancel?
Cancelling is free up to 36 hours before your appointment, and your deposit is refunded. After that you can still reschedule for free. If you cancel later, the €5 deposit is not refunded.
What are portfolio rates?
Sian is building a portfolio. That is why the current prices apply to the first 15 clients, in exchange for before and after photos and a review. You decide whether you are recognisable in the photos.
